Giants’ Cam Skattebo apologizes for remarks about CTE, asthma

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo apologized for an “error of judgment” after saying CTE isn’t real and asthma is “fake.”
When asked on the “Bring the Juice” podcast if CTE was “a real thing,” Skattebo said it was “an excuse.”
He also implored “mild” asthmatics to “just breathe air.”
“I recently did an interview and had a lapse of judgment, which led me to make a tasteless joke about CTE and asthma. It was never my intention to downplay the seriousness of head injuries or asthma,” Skattebo wrote on his Instagram story on Saturday after the clip went viral.
