Cole Allen pleads not guilty to trying to assassinate Trump

Cole Tomas Allen, the suspect who was shot at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Monday, has pleaded not guilty to charges that include attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump.

Allen, who allegedly tried to attack the ballroom at the Washington Hilton with a shotgun, a pistol and multiple knives, entered his defense before Judge Trevor McFadden in the US District Court for the District of Columbia. He pleaded not guilty to all four charges against him and was shackled at the waist and wrists, according to MS NOW.

Allen is accused of trying to assassinate Trump on April 25, transporting a firearm interstate, using a firearm during an act of violence, and assaulting law enforcement officers.
