Two people seriously injured in ‘XL bully’ dog attack

Two people were injured in the attack by a XL bully -type dog in Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire police said he was attacked by a dog in a property at Worksop at 17:46 on Thursday.
The man was important, but he was subjected to life -threatening injuries, while the woman received a injury in her arm.
A cord was placed while the officers were trying to control the dog. While the incident was solved, the people were asked not to visit the region.
An update on social media from the Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers are currently dealing with an event in a property in Maple Leaf Gardens in Worksop. The event took place at 17:46. The police reported that a man and a woman were attacked by an XL bully type dog.”
XL Bully Dogs’ ownership was restricted from February 2024. Now it is a criminal offense to have one of the race without an exemption certificate in the UK.
The prohibition entered into force after saying that the government was “disproportionately involved in the dog -related deaths since 2021. Between 2021 and 2023, more than half of the dog -related human deaths in England caused an XL bully.
The registered XL bully dogs should be safely hosted, neutering and kept on a bullet and open to the public (but not at home). The police can seize non -registered dogs and their owners are imprisoned and/or unlimited fine for up to six months.
