A group aligned with Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) has launched a website compiling “red flags” raised by her Democratic opponent, Graham Platner.
On the site, Pine Tree Results, a fundraising committee, listed several violations that followed Graham Platner’s campaign as he tried to unseat Collins and flip a key Republican-held Senate seat.
“Over 20 years of a grown man revealing his true character with one red flag after another.” the website states. “He’s radical. He’s dangerous. He’s too extreme for Maine.”
Drawing on social media, Reddit and reporting, the website offers viewers a graveyard of Platner’s most controversial moments and issues and hopes to keep them in the public eye as it enters the final six months of the campaign.

Platner’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Founded in January last year, Pine Tree Results According to FEC records, He amassed a $12.7 million war chest that went mostly unused.
Despite a series of scandals highlighted by the Pine Tree Results, Democrats are counting on Platner to carry the party flag in the state they believe is ripe for a Senate win.

Platner became the party’s de facto nominee earlier this year when former Maine governor Janet Mills, 78, announced she would suspend her campaign after it became clear that Platner was gaining more momentum.
A political moderate, Collins found success as a Republican in the historically Democratic Pine Tree State. He was last re-elected in 2020 with a 51% to 42.4% victory over Democratic opponent Sara Gideon, a Maine state legislator.
Democrats hope Platner’s speech as a political outsider will persuade voters to abandon the five-term incumbent.
Platner cited the PAC’s attacks as evidence that his campaign had gained enough momentum to be scrutinized.
