How Trump and Putin’s past meetings went

US President Donald Trump’s summit with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Friday is the moment in world politics, a box office records that brought to mind a few previous meetings.

These events tend to present some glances to an interesting, unpredictable and too much written personal relationship between the two leaders as well as great news headlines.

When I look at the images again, they give clues about how they can approach the beginning of Alaska on Friday and discuss the end of the war in Ukraine.

According to the leaders behind closed doors or former officials who deal with both, two bring very different approaches to special meetings.

His first meetings came at a G20 summit in Germany in July 2017. Only months after Trump entered the White House, Putin had already had decades of political experience under his belt.

In front of the world cameras, two of them changed warm words, and a hand -squeezed hand -squeezing of a respectful relationship in general. In the coming years, the binary continued to express their mutual admiration – Trump said that he was “disappointed” to the BBC on the bloodshed in Putin and the bloodshed in Ukraine.

According to diplomats that define the Russian leader’s style to the BBC, Trump will be familiar with Putin’s ability to dominate conversations.

“Everything is about power with Putin,” said Sir Laurie Bristow, the Russian Ambassador of England from 2016 to 2020.

As a result, Sir Laurie said, “Translators may find it hard to keep up with,” and it was vital to Trump’s point of view. Trump’s ambassador Steve Witkoff allegedly trusted Kremlin translators at his own meeting earlier this year.

Former Trump Aide Fiona Hill, in an interview with Telegraph, recalled his experiences of dealing with Putin: “Trump is making fun of Trump. Using the Russian language in a very sarcastic and ironic way. He disappeared completely in translation.”

Perhaps the most obvious demonstration of friendship between Trump and Putin came together for closed door talks in Helsinki, Finland in July 2018.

Trump defended Russia on charges of intervention in the US Presidential Elections in the 2016 US presidential elections and was a party to the evaluation of Putin and his own intelligence organizations. The movement won the party condemnation in the United States.

Helsinki meeting, Putin’s last Men’s World Cup hosted by Russia to give a gift of a football football unjustly produced an informal image.

According to a former British Ambassador Sir Tony Brenton, such movements in Putin’s part have always been carefully calculated. Sir Tony reminded that during the meetings of Putin in the mid -2000s, he showed the “Russian Old World Courtesy”, but “there was always a degree of reserves underneath and never a very spontaneous character”.

“Footballs and smiles, jokes and such things … Naturally, a man full of a full man who meets well ‘is not a man, but he works on it when he thinks it is important for the relationship.”

The couple met for more G20 summit in Argentina in November 2018 and Japan in June 2019.

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton, where Trump fell later, was present on the last occasion. He said that the BBC was shot by Men’s different detail attitudes left by Putin’s training in Soviet intelligence service.

“I haven’t seen him other than preparing, very calm, very reasonable in his presentation, and I think it’s a part of his KGB education.”

I’m sure they’re preparing briefing materials as we always do and they don’t read them.”

Tr Trump believed that a healthy personal relationship with another leader would mean a healthy state-state relationship, Bol Bolton-and Putin knew that. “KGB will use Trump to try and manipulate Trump. He did it before and will do it again.”

Trump underestimated his expectations before his meeting in Alaska on Friday and said, “I think it will be good. But it may be bad.”
