Comedian recalls ‘most terrifying night’ after 600lb fridge pinned her down

Laura Clery recalled the “scariest night” of her life after surviving a near-death incident.
In a video shared on Instagram, the comedian admitted that his “worst fear came true” after he was “very seriously injured and trapped at home alone with my two young children.”
Clery, 39, thanked God and first responders who rescued him after the 600-pound refrigerator fell and became pinned to the counter.

Clery was in the process of getting ready for bed when the giant refrigerator “hit me and pinned me to the counter.”

“I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe properly,” he wrote on social media. “It was impossible to get off and I could feel myself losing consciousness. My children were at home. I really didn’t know if I would get out of here alive.”
“Thank God I had my phone in my pocket and I was able to call 911. Thank God it didn’t fall on my children. Three firefighters lifted it off me. I’m still shaking.”
“I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe properly.”
Clery shared images from the rescue operation, where firefighters took him out of the house and carried him to the ambulance.
From the back of the ambulance, Clery praised first responders while wearing a neck brace and noted that he had been “crushed” by a huge refrigerator.

“Thank God it didn’t fall on my children. It took three firefighters to lift it up. I’m still shaking.”
“This was right after the fentanyl hit and all my pain [went] (instantly),” she wrote. “I have to thank these amazing firefighters who saved my life!! Completely.
“They got there so fast they broke down my garage door and the three of them pushed the 600-pound refrigerator off of me before things got any worse and got me safely to the trauma unit.”

Clery added, “I keep thinking about how different this could have gone and I feel such gratitude. There are no broken bones, my kids are fine and safe, I can walk… I’m so lucky!
“They were calm and kind and handled everything like true heroes!”
