Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Reduced by Rs 183.50

New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 183.50, bringing the retail price in Delhi to Rs 2,930 per cylinder from July 1.

The companies have also reduced the price of a 5kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder by Rs 13. Sources said that after the revision, the retail price of 5 kg FTL cylinder in Delhi is now Rs 808.50.

The latest cut follows a series of price revisions in recent months. In June, domestic LPG prices were increased by Rs 29, increasing the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi from Rs 913 to Rs 942.

Oil companies had also increased LPG prices by Rs 60 per cylinder on March 7 following disruptions in global energy markets due to conflict in West Asia.

In April, commercial LPG cylinder prices increased by Rs 195.50 in major cities; prices rose to Rs 2,208 in Kolkata, Rs 2,031 in Mumbai and Rs 2,246.50 in Chennai.

Earlier in January, oil marketing companies had increased the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 111, taking its retail price in Delhi to Rs 1,691.50. At that time, the price of 5 kg FTL cylinder was also increased by Rs 27.

The latest outage is expected to provide relief to businesses such as restaurants, catering services and other commercial establishments that are heavily dependent on LPG for their operations.
