Commuter chaos as serious crash shuts Tonkin Highway

Breaking news and a serious crash involving three vehicles and a motorcycle has forced the closure of the southbound Tonkin Highway this morning.

The incident happened at the Great Eastern Motorway junction in Bayswater at around 5.40am.

WA Police said at least one person was seriously injured.

Emergency and towing services continue in the area.

Main Roads is encouraging motorists to seek an alternative route or consider exiting the Reid Highway or Morley Drive if they are already on the highway.
