Congress DAC Resolves Shabbir–Chandrasekhar Rift

Hyderabad: PCC disciplinary action committee (DAC) on Sunday claimed to have resolved the intra-party dispute between senior leader and government advisor Muhammad Ali Shabbir and his rival from Kamareddy, Gaddam Chandrasekhar Reddy.
DAC president and MP Mallu Ravi called both the leaders to Gandhi Bhavan where they submitted their statements. The committee intervened amid growing differences of opinion between the two, which was further fueled recently when an audio clip of Shabbir Ali allegedly criticizing party operations and complaining that posts were secured through money was leaked on social media. The clip went viral and created political excitement across the state.
After the hearing, Mallu Ravi likened the committee’s role to a “family court” meant to counsel and unite members rather than punish them. He said both leaders cooperated, resolved their grievances and agreed to work together without further disagreements in public or on social media.
