Congress intensifies protests over Kunnamkulam custodial torture case in Kerala

The Congress Party intensified the attack on the Kunnamkulam custody torture in Kerala, and the Youth Congress organized protests outside the homes of the defendant police officers.
On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the workers of the Youth Congress marched to the houses of the civilian police officer Sasendran, one of the defendants. However, then he wasn’t at home. In the meantime, protests are spreading, Youth Congress workers put ‘sought’ posters out of the house of another defendant officer.
On Friday, on the Thiruvonam Day, the Youth Congress workers accused the senior police officials of protecting criminals, organized a symbolic ‘Kolachor’ in front of the excavation office (service just before a prisoner’s execution) protest.
The Kerala State Human Rights Commission received the consciousness of Suo Motu of the case and directed the Thrissur Regional Police Chief to present a report within three weeks.
The storage torture dates back to April 5, 2023, allegedly in the police detained Police. After a two -year legal war, the visuals of the attack re -directed public anger after an order by the State Information Commission.
