Congress Plans DCC Offices In All Districts of Telangana

ADILABAD: The Congress has begun efforts to set up special District Congress Committee (DCC) office buildings across Telangana, where some districts do not have permanent party offices.

Party leaders in Adilabad approached district officials with a request to allocate government land at nominal cost for construction of DCC office. Similar demands are being made from DCCs in other districts.

Leaders said the move was in line with the instructions of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, which had asked the district units to identify suitable land and submit details regarding party assets, properties and bank deposits. The party also initiated steps to formalize financial transactions, including the opening of bank accounts at the district level.

Party sources said the state government may also consider allocating land for DCC offices, similar to the earlier allocations for regional offices of BRS.

DCC representatives in Telangana submitted memorandums to district collectors seeking land allocation, pointing out difficulties in organizing meetings, coordinating activities and running educational programs without permanent offices.

In Jagtial, DCC president Gajendgi Nandaiah along with TPCC NRI Cell leader Chand Pasha submitted a representation to collector B. Satyaprasad seeking land allotment.

Adilabad DCC president Naresh Jadhav said a memorandum was submitted to collector and in-charge minister Jupally Krishna Rao. He said that following a survey by revenue officials, three parcels of government land were identified and proposals were sent to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Hyderabad.

Party leaders said they are ready to mobilize voluntary contributions for the construction of office buildings and meeting rooms to support organizational activities.
