Honduran national in custody after allegedly crashing into ICE vehicle: ‘Unlucky’

A Honduran citizen had an “unfortunate” encounter with Border Patrol on Friday.

U.S. Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino claimed the woman ran a red light in Slidell, Louisiana, and crashed into an Immigration, Customs and Enforcement (ICE) vehicle. X.

“Apparently he never learned the lesson that red means stop,” Bovino wrote. “‘Not to accelerate and collide with a government vehicle that is actively enforcing federal law.'”

No injuries were reported in the crash, but Bovino said he was “definitely taken into custody” following the crash, according to the post.

Federal agents were reportedly in the area as part of Operation Catahoula Crunch. The operation targets illegal immigrants in the New Orleans area, according to officials.

The department also reported that 2.5 million illegal immigrants have left the country and an estimated 1.9 million have self-deported since President Donald Trump’s crackdown on immigration.

Details about the Honduran woman have not been made public.

DHS did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
