Conspiracy theorist podcaster admits murdering woman

An occultist podcaster who investigates the supernatural and conspiracies has admitted to murdering his girlfriend.

Tobias Marcus Nuttall, 32, pleaded guilty at Stirling Gardens Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to the stabbing death of 30-year-old Alisha Lauren Hendren-Krippner at her Perth home on August 20.

Ms Hendren-Krippner was transported to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition and suffered multiple injuries, where she died the same day.

Defense lawyer Simon Watters said that following discussions with prosecutors, an agreement was reached that Nuttall’s “criminal responsibility had been established”.

Nuttall, who has a bushy beard, a cross on a chain around his neck and shoulder-length hair slicked back, appeared via video link and showed no emotion as he made his defense.

His case was adjourned until April 13 for sentencing to be heard in the WA Supreme Court at a date to be determined.

Nuttall was the co-host of a news review podcast called WakingWorld.

In an episode that aired about a month before Nuttall killed Ms. Hendren-Krippner, he and a British co-host named Dale discuss werewolves and “the deeper meanings behind Christian practices and what it means to embody or resist our wildest instincts.”

Following Nuttall’s arrest, Dale reportedly told his listeners that his co-host would no longer be on the show because he had been charged with a serious crime, but the segment appeared to have been deleted.
