Content creator who left bathtub on Pen y Fan apologises

“This was a completely honest mistake,” Christopher said.

“Obviously I didn’t leave it there by mistake, I didn’t forget it; it was a mistake to think I was doing the right thing with people telling me it was ‘wonderful’ and ‘awesome’.”

“I should never have left anything on the mountaintop. I’m glad the message of this story is that everyone takes care of the national park, even though I’m the bad guy.”

“This is a big mistake, I shouldn’t leave anything at the top of the mountain.

“It’s my fault for thinking this was a good idea, but frankly I should have thought more about keeping our landscape clean,” he said.

When the people insisted that he leave it there, he said he would return in two days and send it back on wheels.

He added that he received many messages criticizing his actions for leaving her there.

Christopher said the national park told him the incident was reported as fly tipping and he wasn’t sure if he would be fined.

“I don’t have any money. I’m in my overdraft, I don’t have any money to do anything.

“I’ll be gutted if he comes. I hope there’s an option to do volunteer work to pay the fine.”

Bannau Brycheiniog National Park has been approached for comment.

Cardiff Rugby academy players came across Christopher’s bathtub while carrying out maintenance work on the mountain and helped rangers retrieve it.

Writing on Facebook, the academy described it as “an additional and unexpected team-building exercise.”
