Contract worker dies at Rio Tinto mine in Guinea

The English-Australian polyulus mining company says that a contract worker died after an incident on Rio Tinto’s Simfer Mine site in Guinea.

Demir ore miner said in a statement on Saturday, Simfer Mine’s grocery store was suspended, he said.

General Manager Simon Trott said he would go to Guinea to spend time with the team.

Simfer is part of the Simandou project of Rio Tinto, Africa’s largest mining and infrastructure project.

It is developing the project in the Simandou Mountain Series, which is located in the southeast of the country and has a surface area of ​​more than 100 km.

According to the company’s website, the lower land contains high -grade iron ore estimated to be approximately 1.5 billion tons.
