Palestinian-Australian writer pulled from Adelaide Festival

Adelaide Festival board of directors Dr. Randa Abdel-Fattah’s decision to cancel her session at the largest writers’ festival in the country was not only stupid, but also completely political.
The moral spinelessness of trying to silence Abdel-Fattah, a prominent Palestinian-Australian who was to be interviewed in a session about his book. Discipline (which, ironically, is about the price those who speak out often pay), but linking the cancellation to the heinous terrorist attack at Bondi says a lot about who is allowed to have a voice in Australia.
