Convicted gang rapist Mohammed Skaf hit with two dozen drug charges in Sydney | Australia news

Mohammed Skaf, a notorious gang rapist, was arrested in Sydney and charged with nearly two dozen alleged drug offences.

New South Wales police say two men and a woman will appear in court on Thursday for their alleged involvement in a large-scale drug supply scheme after search warrants were executed overnight in south-west Sydney.

Police said they seized large amounts of drugs, including cocaine, approximately $245,000 in cash, a vehicle and other items during multiple searches of Greenacre.

Skaf, 42, is charged with 24 offences, including 22 charges of supplying prohibited drugs. He is also charged with knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime and knowingly directing the activities of a criminal organization.

The man, who was refused bail, was expected to appear in Bankstown local court later on Thursday. Investigations were continuing.

Skaf was convicted and sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2000 for his involvement, along with his brother Bilal Skaf, in the gang rape of at least six female students in Sydney. He was released on parole in 2021 and his sentence ends in 2024.
