Bondi Beach terrorist attack death toll climbs

The death toll in the mass shooting on Bondi Beach has risen to 16.

It appears that the target of the attack, which police sources believe has been planned for months, was the Hanukkah event.

It is understood that one of the armed attackers was shot dead, while the other was shot and kept in custody while the emergency services worked on him.

Minister of Health Ryan Park confirmed that the death toll in the incident declared as a terrorist attack has risen to 16 people.

Dozens of people remain in hospital under various conditions.

Campbell Parade at Bondi Beach remains closed as police officers continue to canvass the area.
