Assembly Elections 2026 LIVE: M.K. Stalin holds walk campaign in Chennai’s Kannagi Nagar ahead of Tamil Nadu polls

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar asserted that the poll panel will “leave no stone unturned” to ensure free and fair elections in West Bengal and come up with a detailed framework to curb malpractices and boost voter confidence.

In a message to officials conducting elections in the state on Monday, Kumar said the Election Commission was committed to conducting elections “free from fear, violence, intimidation and incitement” and underlined its zero-tolerance approach to corruption in elections.

“No employee of the State Government, local bodies or autonomous bodies will be allowed to influence the election process in any way,” CEC Kumar said.
