Watch: Man who brought end to Paul Doyle’s rampage speaks out | News

Former soldier Dan Barr, who put an end to Liverpool parade attacker Paul Doyle’s attack by climbing into the backseat of his car and parking the gearshift, has spoken for the first time.

The 41-year-old former soldier, from Birkenhead, Wirral, said he thought his actions were “nothing special” and that he would “do it again”.

Mr Barr was described as a “hero” for his intervention.

Doyle, 54, formerly of Burghill Road, West Derby, was jailed for 21 years and six months for driving his car into 134 football fans during a two-minute rampage.
