The epic journey meant leaving behind their jobs, homes and families. It also meant removing Nyla from school and tight budgeting for months.
However, despite the passing of their continents in mid -July after leaving their homes in Cheshire, 37 -year -old Hayley and 45 -year -old Lewis discovered that they had saved money by being on the road.
The couple settled in the budget of £ 2,000 – £ 2,000 (roughly $ 2,300 – $ 3,500) per month – enough to visit all dream places.
Initially, when they started to withdraw to save for the journey, they shocked how much they spend at home: an average of £ 4,000-5,000 per month (about $ 4,600-5.800).

These figures are far from existing life and rental costs, which the couple estimates to be about 50% less.
Savings was not on their agenda at the beginning of their travels inspired by a long holiday they took to Australia in 2022. After that, they caught the travel error and set out to chase.
Hayley, who worked in recruitment until he quit his job for the year of travel, said to Jam Press: “We both climbed the stairs, working towards leadership roles, we spent time in the board rooms and endless meetings – but we have come to the point where we realized that we live for two holidays a year.”
“We wanted more time, more adventure and more freedom for our daughter.”
Haley, who says that the best decision they have made so far, says that this is not without difficulties.

Since then, his daughters have started online classes, which were compatible with the British curriculum and temporarily registered to a multicultural school in Bali to continue his education.
The family launched his travels in Disneyland Paris and celebrated Nyla’s birthday, spent four weeks traveling around Italy.
Haley, “six years old, Nyla still wants to spend every second and we know that it will not last forever,” he says.
From there, they flew to Bali, where they would stay and continue to discover until November.
