Craig Melvin Breaks Silence On ‘Today’ Intruder In First On-Air Remarks

Craig Melvin spoke live for the first time since the “Today” show scare. It all started on July 16 when an intruder allegedly breached security and yelled at Melvin. The host addressed the incident with the “Today” family on the next morning’s broadcast. The suspect is 41-year-old Andrew Truelove. He was charged with two felonies and pleaded not guilty to burglary as a third-degree hate crime and menacing as a third-degree hate crime, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. A judge reportedly issued a protective order requiring Truelove to stay away from Melvin and “Today” meteorologist Al Roker.
