According to the Air Department, there was “extremely heavy rain of rain in isolated places”.

The heavy showers polluted Mumbai after midnight, but the density decreased early. Most of the city receives light and moderate rain with intermittent intense spells.

Combined with the high tide, heavy rain leads to flooding in low areas, while the low tide helps to retreat rapid water.
