Paramedics, SES, fire and emergency crews attended the incident at Marino Meat & Food Store, the Adelaide Advertiser reported.

Curtains closed the store for several hours as ambulances and fire trucks lined Gouger Street while emergency services responded.

“Someone put his hand in the meat grinder and tried to free his hand,” an eyewitness told reporters.
