Cruel prank crewman played on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor | Royal | News

This seems to be a current theme as Andrew Lownie in his book Entitled frequently quotes people who were very critical of the former prince and his rudeness. Lownie was recently mentioned to this again, and an example is included in a new chapter of Entitled, which will be released in paperback on May 21.

Relying on reliable sources in his novel, Lownie recalled a story he was told about Andrew, who was assigned to a nuclear submarine.

Since Andrew was allegedly being rude to his crewmates, they decided to play a cruel joke on him.

The author wrote: “Assigned to a nuclear submarine, Andrew ‘generally treated everyone like an ass’, said one crew member, and the then duke criticized another submariner for ‘dressing swagger’.

“After Andrew left a pair of kid-skin flight gloves in the control room, the submariner took them to the bathroom, ‘did something intolerable, and then returned the glove,’ which did much to lift the crew’s morale.”

It is not known how the former duke reacted to this joke when he realized what had happened.

Lownie wrote: “A stewardess on a British Airways first class flight to New York in 2010 describes how, after asking for a bottle of water, she complained that it was too cold.

“He apologized and said all the water was in the cooler, so he untied his flies, pushed the water bottle down his pants and said, ‘This will warm him up.’”
