Cyclist on trail falls over 50 feet off cliff in southeastern San Diego County
In Trail, a cyclist falls more than 50 meters from the cliff in Southeast San Diego district
Chula Vista, California (Fox 5/Kusi) – A cyclist who walked his bike for a path on a canyon wall fell from a cliff in the Otay Lakes District Park area at the weekend.
The incident occurred on Saturday when he heard screaming for help from a remote canyon next to the Savage Dam of the border patrol agents.
When the agents entered the canyon, they found the man who suffered from many serious injuries.
The cyclist, agents, lost his foot while walking his bike along the path on the canyon wall and fell to the bottom of the canyon more than 50 meters, he said.

The cyclist could not move for hours, and the CBP agents called for help until he found him.
San Diego Sector Deputy Patrol Agent Jeffrey D. Stalnaker, “I in mind that these agents have saved this man’s life,” he said. “I am really grateful to make a difference because the agents are in the right place at the right time.”
The cyclist was sent to a hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
The bike and other personal belongings of the cyclist were rescued the next day and delivered to his wife.
