Temples Resonate with Shiva Chants on Karthika Pournami Across Telugu States

Temples across Telugu states resounded with hymns of Lord Shiva as devotees celebrated Karthika Pournami with great devotion on Wednesday. Devotees thronged the temples from early morning to offer prayers and light diyas.

While many take holy dips in the Godavari and other sacred rivers, the famous temple town of Bhadrachalam witnesses huge gatherings for the Punya Snanam (sacred bathing) ritual. With rows of oil lamps illuminating the temple premises and devotees chanting hymns, a divine and spiritual atmosphere prevailed everywhere.
