EasyJet canceled three return flights between the UK and Cyprus on Monday after Iran attacked the RAF Akrotiri base on the island overnight.

The budget airline confirmed that services between the UK and the coastal airports of Paphos and Larnaca will not operate on March 2, with Tuesday’s flights still planned to operate.

An easyJet spokesperson told the Express: “Due to overnight events affecting the RAF base at Akrotiri in Cyprus, three return flights will not operate today between Paphos and Larnaca and the UK as a precaution.”
