Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Friday, February 13, 2026: Indian stock markets continued their decline on Friday, in line with global markets, as the tech downturn continued to weaken sentiment.
While the BSE Sensex index opened at 82,985 points, down 690 points or 0.83 percent, Nifty50 fell at 25,589 points. 2189 points or 0.85 percent. 26 out of 30 Sensex stocks were trading lower, led by Infisys, TCS, HCL Tech, Tech M, HUL, Trent, M&M, Eternal, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, NTPC, Titan, L&T, Bajaj Finserv, IndiGo and Power Grid. Only SBI, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Maruti Suzuki India managed to post gains in the range of 0.1 per cent to 0.48 per cent.
In broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index fell 1.31 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap index fell 1.58 per cent. India VIX (volatility index) gained 4 percent.
Among sectors, Nifty fell 5 percent, dragged by IT, Infosys (down 5.6 percent), TCS, HCL Tech, LTIMindtree, Coforge and Wipro.
Apart from this, Nifty Metal index fell by 2 percent, Nifty Media by 1 percent and Nifty FMCG by 0.8 percent.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals, GMR Airports, Siemens Energy India, Info Edge India, Alkem Laboratories, Fortis Healthcare, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Ipca Laboratories, ITI, NBCC (India), IRB Infrastructure Developers, Tenneco Clean Air India, Eris Lifesciences, Inox Wind, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Kfin Technologies, BASF India, Brainbees Solutions, Ola Electric Mobility, Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation, Companies like Tilaknagar Industries, Azad Engineering and Vijaya Diagnostic Center will announce their quarterly earnings today.
