Tom “Flash” Gordon has an impressive resume: Major League played for 21 years in Baseball, he was All-Star three times, and at that time he saved 54 consecutive savings that broke the MLB record.

In addition to his impressive MLB career, the reputable writer Stephen King established a book on him on the “girl who loves Tom Gordon”. King, a large Boston Red Sox fan, came at Fenway Park to observe Gordon.

“This great writer, his wife (Tabitha) Stephen King comes to the basketball field every day.” “And now my understanding, I didn’t know that, just, you know, I was sitting for a moment before the shelter came out and went to the bull in the sixth row. I didn’t know that they were watching everything I did.”

“I didn’t know they were sitting there, and just a kind, you know, let’s see if it was the right man for that, and finally came to it. I became a man for that moment.”

Gordon said Stephen and Tabitha King came to his hometown to see if he was the right person for the book.

Gordon said, “They came in my hometown and met with me in my hometown and said that they ate in a restaurant called Olympic Restaurant and that Stephen was the right person.

“And that was the real final result. And I’m grateful.”

Gordon questioned why anyone else was chosen.

Gordon, “I asked a few times, why me? Why me? Why me? And he said to me, there was no better man to do it because we loved how you approached the game. And I approached the game as I did when I was a kid.” He said.

“You know, at the end of the day, the player shook his hand and said, ‘Hey man, we won that game. And that wasn’t about me, but today we won that game’ and I just like to be a man. In my hand, my last field, the last two jugs, three jugs in the game.

Gordon said that the timing of the book came at a time when too much “good thing” took place. King’s book about him also played a closer role and developed.

“You know, when Jimy Williams gave me the ball, I went there, and the flash can close. And I said, ‘Jimy, you lost your mind.’ (Williams answered) ‘To be honest, you can close the fields, baseball games and be really good,’ ‘he said.

“So, when he decided to make me (closer), Dennis Eckersley was there with me and I still have a big Eck. And you know who walked? He walked (extreme)? Games. ‘”

Gordon, after taking control of the closer role in a succession of 54 savings by saving a record (later broken by Eric Gagne) determined.

Gordon, “I held my whole family with me, every savings, every time I held it with me. He saved 54 in a row. And only my teammates were really proud. So, then I knew it was something special, Gord Gordon said.

“And Stephen King took it to a different, larger and higher platform.”

Gordon said he sent “shock waves” from the community of King’s book.

“When Stephen did this, he sent shock waves through me and through the community. My family, everyone here, my town, came to my town, signed my town, UM, wife, tab and signatures. Families, books, books, bought books, books.

“Only humble people you are in love with, and I am definitely a Stephen King fan and I am grateful for having a chance.”

Gordon said that being outside the book has an additional benefit.
