Danny Dyer went all-out on the latest episode of Rivals after pledging solidarity with his female co-stars as they stripped down in the raunchy drama.
The fourth episode of the Disney+ show was released on Friday and showed Danny’s character Freddie Jones embarking on a very passionate tryst with love interest Lizzie Vereker, played by Katherine Parkinson.
In the sensual clip, both Danny and Katherine strip naked to film a sex scene in a swimming pool; Before Danny joked, he was worried about how he would look on screen because it was ‘cold’ during filming.
Speaking to Radio Times ahead of the broadcast, he joked about banning everyone and said:: ‘If they keep it in the editing, I will be completely ahead in this series. ‘This was a night shoot and it was cold so I better not say more.’
However, she explained that at a time when her female cast members were famously topless, she felt it was important for her to be fully nude herself.
‘No one is under pressure to be naked if they don’t want to, but if a woman can have her breasts removed, why shouldn’t I too?’ he said. ‘To be fair, I have breasts too!’

Fans may notice that Danny’s physique looks a little fuller, as he was obsessed with eating 12 sausages a day during filming.
Danny is a method actor and said in Fred’s mind that he needed to be “chubby”, so he went on a “crappy” diet that left him “chubby and constipated”.
Speaking on his podcast with his daughter Dani, 29, from Live And Let Dyers, Danny said: ‘I’ve found that I’m quite methodical. When I was playing Fred, I put a piece on him.’
When asked if he gets by from KFC and McDonald’s, Danny replied: ‘He’s chubby and that’s the way he should be. That’s Fred’s point.
‘In his mind, this is how he was supposed to be. My diet sucked. In Bristol, I was living off Deliveroos money.
‘And I’d buy a pack of sausages, which was a 12-pack. They make sausages quickly, so I found myself making 12 sausages in one night. Not every night because I’ll be dead.
‘I was cooking it all and making myself a sandwich and you could only get five of a sandwich.
‘Then as the night progressed I found him eating the rest of the sausages. ‘I was dipping them in ketchup.’
Danny said he didn’t have enough olive oil in his diet and that’s why he was constipated.
Based on Dame Jilly Cooper’s 1988 novel, Rivals premiered on Disney+ in October 2024 and was an immediate hit.
The eight-episode first series concluded in December 2024 and was renewed for a second outing shortly after.
Danny has previously revealed that he felt it was important to get plenty of nudity, at a time when his female cast members were famously topless.

Prior to its launch, the second series of Rivals received rave reviews from critics, with critics hailing it as a ‘perfect spree’ that lived up to the acclaimed first season.
