David Beckham surprised unlikely pal Jeremy Clarkson with a birthday cake as the broadcaster celebrated his 66th birthday in Miami on Saturday.
The 50-year-old former footballer gifted the delicious treat of candles and colorful icing after the former Top Gear star joined him to watch Inter Miami team play at the new Freedom Park Stadium.
On Instagram, Jeremy shared a photo of himself draped over David’s shoulder, proudly holding the cake.
The birthday boy wore a casual navy jacket over a printed shirt, while his friend donned a suit and boots to watch his team take on the NYC Red Bulls.
Jeremy wrote in his post: ‘A guy I met at a football game in Miami gave me a birthday cake. You are very kind.
Although the friend is unlikely, the pair have also been neighbors since the TV star bought his Diddly Squat near Beckham’s Cotswolds home in 2008.

David was supported by his lovely wife Victoria and sons Romeo and Cruz as they cheered on Inter Miami on Saturday.
The morale of the family was quite high before the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Inter Miami co-owner David cut a dapper figure in the MLS team’s blazer, which he paired with a crisp white shirt and a smart tie.
Meanwhile, Posh Spice showed off a casual figure in her white T-shirt while chatting with her friends in the VIP lounge.
The fashion designer was later joined by his youngest son, Cruz, who attracted attention with his colorful orange patterned shirt.
The musician, who is set to hit America with his band The Breakers on his first US tour later this year, was noticeably missing his glamorous girlfriend Jackie Apostel.
David and Victoria were joined by their son Romeo, who wore a white T-shirt and beige trousers, at the match held at Miami’s new stadium, Nu Stadium, at Miami Freedom Park.
The model opted for a bold pink winter hat and accessorized with a silver chain necklace and hung a silver chain on her trousers.

She captioned it: ‘Happy Birthday Nicola Peltz Beckham x I love you with all my heart, can’t wait to stay young with you xx I love you so much.’
In another shot, Brooklyn was seen leaning back from the driver’s seat of a car and surprising Nicola with a bunch of flowers and coffee.
She smiled for the sweet photo and wrote: ‘Surprise flowers and love letters are my favorites ever, I love you so much Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.’
