Megan Moroney covers ‘Best of Both Worlds’ for Hannah Montana anniversary

Megan Moroney is swapping Nashville for the tropics and giving her best friend the best send-off.
The “Tennessee Orange” singer was in the Bahamas over the weekend, where she shared an inside look at her close friend and social media influencer Natalie King’s bachelorette getaway. Moroney, known for her soulful anthems about heartbreak and girlhood, leans into the latter as she helps King celebrate her final days as a single woman. The holiday serves as a stylish interlude for the singer, who has been documenting the celebrations and her own holiday looks for her Instagram followers.
The country singer looked relaxed and sun-kissed in the indoor photo, giving her followers a first look at her holiday wardrobe. Moroney showed off a structured, vibrant orange bikini top with subtle gold hardware, paired with matching bottoms.

Keeping the fun and edgy look, the “I’m Not Pretty” singer accessorized with an impressive array of charm necklaces, including a visible seashell and hot pink starfish necklace. Her signature hair was styled in natural beach waves and her look was completed with simple bracelets and manicured nails.

The celebration moved to the shoreline, where Moroney candidly shared his escape from the island. The CMA winner was seen walking barefoot in the turquoise tide, wading through the waves with her back to the camera.
But it wouldn’t be a bachelorette weekend without a coordinated moment with the bride-to-be. Moroney later shared a photo with King, where they both posed celebratory on a scenic observation deck.
Staying true to her country roots, Moroney wore a bold black knit cover-up with a dark brown cowboy hat. King looked bridal-ready in a white lace crop top and long ruffled skirt. With drinks in hand, the duo raised their arms and posed with palm trees and the Caribbean horizon in the background.

In an exclusive interview with PeopleMoroney announced that he is honoring the 20th anniversary of “Hannah Montana” by releasing a cover of the iconic theme song “Best of Both Worlds” via Spotify Singles. The 28-year-old country star admitted he’s been using the track to “get excited” before his own shows for the past two years.

“I started watching and listening to Hannah Montana at a young age,” Moroney told People, “so I think her confidence… She was cheerful and funny. I think that definitely wore me out.” “I didn’t grow up and want to be a princess. I wanted to grow up and be Hannah Montana.”

The cover comes just ahead of the Disney+ anniversary special featuring Miley Cyrus, 33, airing on Tuesday, March 24. For Moroney, the pressure was on to do justice to the 2006 classic for the “Disney” die-hards.
