DDC meet decides to hold on-site inspection of fitness certificates issued to school buildings in Alappuzha

The Regional Development Committee (DDC) meeting held on Saturday decided to control the fitness certificates on the spot.

Inspections will be carried out by a team of engineers from local self -government institutions and officials from the training department. The meeting, chaired by the regional collector Alex Varighese, directed the completion of the audits on Wednesday and a report sent to the collector. At the meeting, the subject of the suitability of the school buildings was brought to the agenda by Mla H. Salam.

PP Chitharanjan, Mla and Mr. Salam asked a meeting in the collector room to decide that the statue of Matsya Kanyaka should be moved or rebuilt as part of the restructuring of the regional court bridge in Alaappuzha Town. MLAs also wanted to accelerate the bridge construction business.

The MLAs urged the National Highway Authority of the Indian authorities immediately to take action to address the water pressure caused by the rain in the national road 66 and nearby settlements.

Kuttanad Mla Thomas K. Thomas called the officials to take the necessary steps to accelerate the completion of the Kuttanad Drinking Water Project by providing funds from the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board during Panchayats in Kuttanad Taluk. Mr. Thomas reported that the construction of the family health center in Neelamperoor was completed and will be opened soon.
