Dead Body Of Indian MBBS Student, Who Went Missing In Russia, Found: Reports | World News

Ajit Chaudhary, a 21-year-old college student from Alwar, went missing in Russia, where he was pursuing his MBBS degree at Buxar State University in Ufa. His body was found in a dam on Thursday, according to multiple media reports.

According to IANS report, on October 20, Russian Police found the MBBS student’s jacket and mobile phone on a river bank in Ufa. Four hours later, his shoes were found nearby.

Ajit is a resident of Laxmangarh’s Kafanwada village and was reportedly missing since 11 pm on October 19. The roommate told police that the student went to get milk from the principal but never returned.

His family sold three large estates of land to finance his education.

Congress leader Jitendra Singh, in his post on social media platform

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the recovery of the body of Ajit Singh Chaudhary, an MBBS student and resident of Lakshmangarh in Alwar, who went missing in Russia since Diwali,” he wrote.

“Ajit from Kaphanwada village was sent to Russia by his family with high hopes and pooling their hard-earned money to pursue medical education. About 19 days ago, his clothes, mobile phone and shoes were found on the river bank,” the Congress leader said. he added.

“Today’s news that Ajit’s body has been found in the river is extremely shocking. This is an extremely sad moment for the Alwar family; under suspicious circumstances, we have lost a promising young boy. I extend my deepest condolences to Ajit’s father Roop Singh ji, his mother Santara Devi ji and the entire family,” he continued.

“I request the Government of India and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar ji to immediately bring back Ajit’s body to India. An untoward incident took place with the child under suspicious circumstances; this should be investigated with full seriousness. The family should no longer have to wander around your offices,” Singh said.

The family also suspects something is wrong.

“After speaking to the principal, he seems to be trying to show that Ajit jumped into the river, but no one is confirming this,” the student’s uncle was quoted as saying by IANS.

Ajit’s Call to His Mother

Just an hour before his disappearance, Ajit had spoken to his mother Santara Devi and sister Geeta via video call around 10 pm on October 19 and wished them a happy Diwali. The family said he was scheduled to return to India next month.
