Dealer attempts Hot Fuzz-style getaway after £1.3m drug bust | News

A drug dealer attempted a Hot Fuzz-style escape by jumping over fences as he tried to evade capture by police in Norfolk.

Marc Kane, 43, of Coronilla Green, Gorleston, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the large-scale distribution of cocaine by an organized crime group in and around Great Yarmouth.

The operation, planned at a house on John Road in Gorleston on August 1, 2024, ended with the arrest of Kane and his co-conspirators. At least 10 kilos of high purity cocaine with a street value of £1 million were found inside the house.

Kane tried to escape by jumping over fences, but police found him hiding in a shed in a nearby garden.

The 43-year-old man was sentenced on Friday, May 8, after admitting a previous charge of being involved in the supply of cocaine.

Six other members of the group were also jailed after admitting their part in the conspiracy to supply cocaine.
