Deerbrook Mall shooting leaves 1 shot, 1 detained in Humble, Texas: police

At least one person was shot and one person was taken into custody Saturday after authorities responded to reports of an active shooter at the Deerbrook Mall in Humble, Texas.
The Harris County Marshal’s Office Precinct 4 said deputies along with the Humble Police Department responded to the mall in the 20100 block of U.S. Highway 59.
“At this time, one victim has been reported shot and one person is in custody,” the police office said in a statement. he said. “Law enforcement remains on scene as the investigation continues.”

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were working with partner agencies to secure the mall.
“Please avoid the area and follow the instructions of law enforcement personnel,” the sheriff’s office said. “Our deputies are working with our law enforcement partners to secure the scene and protect the public.”
