Defiant Nobel Peace Prize Institute Reacts to Trump’s Incessant Whining

The Norwegian Nobel Institute has responded to President Donald Trump’s tantrum about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Director Kristian Berg Harpviken said in an interview with The Atlantic on Sunday that the institute hopes to increase transparency around the election process to defend against accusations of bias leveled by Trump and his supporters. “The strategy to clear the air is just to talk about it,” Harpviken said. While he refused to mention Trump by name and referred to him only as “the candidate in question,” he explained that the strategy was aimed at ensuring audiences understood the institute’s work.
