Delhi car blast: Eyewitness gets emotional while describing horror of explosion

After the Pahalgam attack in May earlier this year, India was shaken again on Monday (November 10) when a car explosion took place in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area near the Red Fort.

New Delhi was rocked by a car explosion on Monday (November 10) when a massive explosion went off near the highly populated Red Fort area in Chandni Chowk. The incident claimed nearly a dozen lives and injured many; The injured were immediately taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital. Many eyewitnesses near the scene described the horror to media personnel. One such eyewitness was Bhupender Singh, who narrated what actually happened and he became emotional while telling it.

In the video, the eyewitness can be heard explaining that he was in the car when all the vehicles were stopped at the red light and everyone started to move slowly after the green light turned on. At that moment, he got out of his car to save his life. He also stated that the sound was too loud for it to be a cylinder explosion and claimed that it was ‘definitely a bomb explosion’.
He reported that approximately 8-10 vehicles were completely burned in the explosion, and around 4-5 fire trucks and 25-30 ambulances immediately arrived at the scene.
Several eyewitnesses also described the incident to the media. One of them said, “We were completely shocked when we saw someone’s hand on the road. I can’t explain this in words.

A local shopkeeper also talked about what happened after the explosions near the Red Castle and said: “I have never heard such a violent explosion in my life. I fell three times because of the explosion. “I felt like we were all going to die.”

Later, Home Minister Amit Shah met the injured at the hospital and even visited the blast point and assessed the situation.
