Royal Mail reveals the most wanted Christmas presents in letters to Santa

New research has revealed that children in the UK are opting for classic toys this Christmas, with Lego, Barbie dolls and bikes topping their wish lists.
According to letters sent to Santa Claus via Royal Mail, it is striking that electrical appliances are not among the ten most popular requests.
While Lego maintained its top spot, Barbie took second place. Scooters, bicycles and skateboards collectively ranked third.
Among the most requested gifts, clothes and pajama sets took the fourth place, followed by books, chocolate and sweets.
Royal Mail said the top 10 most in-demand toys of 2025 are:
- Lego
- barbie/doll
- bike/scooter/skateboard
- clothes/pajamas
- books
- Chocolate/sweets
- Labubu
- Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch)
- a surprise
- makeup sets
Jennifer Robb, head of Santa’s Mail Room, said: “It’s great to see the magic of Christmas shine through on this year’s wish lists.
“Lego and Barbie continue to lead the way, but we also love the mix of popular character collections like Labubu and Stitch, alongside timeless favorites like bikes, books and sweets.
“Whatever’s under the tree, it’s clear that simple joys are at the heart of every child’s Christmas.”

The news comes as Christmas shoppers are being warned about websites that appear to be “quirky UK businesses” but are actually created by artificial intelligence (AI) and located thousands of miles away.
BBC Morning Live Consumer expert Louise Minchin told viewers on Tuesday (December 9) what to look out for during the festive season.
Minchin examined several websites, including a business using AI-generated images claiming to be an excellent British clothing company based in Bristol; but upon closer inspection, he found that it was headquartered in Hong Kong.
consumer group Which? advises shoppers to be wary of images that “look too perfect, cartoonish or too cool” and to use an image search tool to see if the image appears elsewhere.
