Delhi High Court pulls up police over allegations of illegal detention, torture of activists

delhi The Supreme Court on Thursday (April 23, 2026) pulled down the Delhi Police over allegations of torture and illegal detention of some activists last month and maintained that due process should be followed even in cases involving serious allegations.
A Bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja asked the investigating agency to either take necessary action or forward the matter to the CBI.
