Delhi man kills mother, siblings over financial distress; surrenders to police

The man, identified as Yashveer Singh and a resident of Mangal Bazar area, arrived at Laxmi Nagar Police Station around 5 pm and informed the officers that he had killed his mother, sister and younger brother, citing severe financial distress as the reason for his actions.
According to police, the victims were his mother Kavita, 46, sister Meghana, 24, and brother Mukul, 14.
A police officer speaking to the news agency said, “Upon notice, police teams immediately ran to the address specified by the man. After verification, the bodies of the woman and her two children were found inside the house.” he said.
After the confession, police teams were immediately dispatched to the address given by Singh. After entering the house, the police confirmed the information given at the police station and found the bodies of three members of the family.
A senior police official said the matter was being thoroughly investigated and more details would be established as the investigation progresses.
