Delhi MCDs Suniyo property tax scheme nets ₹304 cr in 3 months

Yeni Delhi, 2 September (PTI) In just three months, Delhi’s (MCD’s) municipal company Suno EMERK TAX AFFORDER La304 Crore is more than three and a half times the amount collected under the previous scheme.
The Suniyo (Sampatti Kar Niptan Yojana) program, which will end on September 30, witnessed more taxpayers, data between the first and third months of a total of 1,02,142 people’s presentation, compared to 38.805, compared to 2023, compared to 2025 compared to 2025.
The Suniyo scheme collected three and a half times the amount collected under the previous Samriddhi scheme. LaIn his statement to the MCD senior official PTI, 84.23 Crore is in 2022-23 in the same period.

June 2025, the first month of the Suno Plan, saw collections La96.28 CRORE – La35.30 Crore and La60.98 Crore from commercial taxpayers. Quantity increased La150.57 Crore in July. In August, La58 Crore was collected from taxpayers under the program.
MCD’s instrument panel also revealed data on the basis of performance -related zone.
Narela region directed the installment with collections. La44.8 Crore, then Karol Bagh ( La28.69 Crore), MCD Headquarters Zone ( La25.78 Crore), Southern Region ( La24.78 Crore) and City SP region ( La24.36 Crore).
Other important contributions came from Keshavpuram, Shahdara (South), Shahdara (North), West and Central Regions, each passing through La20 Crore mark.
Rohini region has been brought La16.27 Crore, Civil Lines La13.68 Crore and Najafgarh La12.97 Crore, which recorded the number of lowest taxpayers, remained important.
In terms of the number of taxpayers, the Western region increased to the summit with 12,623 properties paying taxes and followed by Shahdara (South) (12.321) and City SP (10,990).
Rohini, Keshavpuram, Shahdara (North) and Karol Bagh also had a strong participation, while regions such as Central, South and Civil Lines reported relatively lower numbers.
MCD officials said that the growth beneath Suno can be attributed to the ease of further awareness, citizen’s social assistance and digital payment options, and that it could significantly reduce problems such as checking.
The Civil Organ believes that the plan will not only increase the collections, but also expand the taxpayer base by bringing more property owners to the network.
