Desperate search for earthquake survivors continues outside Caracas

After the earthquake that occurred in Venezuela last week, the search for survivors continues in the city of Catia la Mer.

At least 1,450 people are known to have died, but some continued to be rescued from under collapsed buildings days after the disaster.

In some areas, neighbors and family members search for their loved ones with their bare hands and whatever means they can reach.

BBC correspondent Will Grant reports from the scene on locals’ efforts to find survivors.
