Detectives investigating Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Epstein links getting CPS advice

The Crown Prosecution Service said prosecutors “provided early investigative advice” to police as they conducted their investigation into Lord Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein.
A CPS spokesman said: “We can confirm that we have now provided early investigative advice to the Metropolitan Police Service in relation to the force’s investigation into a 72-year-old man and will continue to liaise as requested.
“We can now also confirm that we have provided early investigative advice to Thames Valley Police in relation to a 66-year-old man. We stand ready to support any investigation where necessary.”

Mandelson was arrested in February on suspicion of abuse of public office. He allegedly leaked sensitive government information to Epstein while he was a minister.
Mandelson’s spokesman said he “deeply regrets” his connection to Epstein.
In January, he apologized to Epstein’s victims for continuing his friendship with the pedophile financier after his conviction.
Keir Starmer sacked him as Britain’s ambassador to Washington in September after newly revealed emails showed the depth and extent of his then colleague’s relationship with Epstein was “materially different from what was known at the time of his appointment”.
The former Duke of York, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office amid accusations that he shared confidential information with a convicted pedophile while serving as trade ambassador.
He was Britain’s special representative for international trade and investment from 2001 to 2011, resigning amid controversy over their friendship.
Allegations about both men emerged in the Epstein files released by the US government.
This is breaking news, more to come…
