‘Devastating’: Millions of people cannot afford hygiene, cleaning basics

Victoria Female Minister Natalie Hutchins said, “Whether you be in a foot final or on a school trip, you shouldn’t have to worry about accessing pads and bumpers,” he said.
“We offer free pads and bumpers in public places right across Victoria, and now we make a reality in some of our most iconic places – Victoria saves thousands of dollars every year.”
The latest consumer price index data showed that last year increased by 4.1 percent, while furniture, home equipment and service costs have increased by 1.1 percent in the capitals in the last three months.
Food inflation is working at 3 percent over the last 12 months.
