BEIJING: According to media reports, 11 people lost their lives in the tragic train accident that occurred in China’s southern Yunnan province on Thursday, according to a statement from Kunming Railway Station. The accident occurred when a train testing seismic equipment collided with a group of railway workers on the track. 2 workers were also injured in the incident. The accident occurred on a curved section of track inside Luoyang Town Railway Station in Kunming city. As the train approached, workers entered the rails and crashed, causing loss of life and property. The situation has caused deep concern and authorities are investigating the incident to understand how it occurred.
