Devil Wears Prada hits London! Anne Hathaway looks sleek in a tight velvet dress as she joins stylish co-stars Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci at the premiere

The cast of Devil Wears Prada descended on London on Tuesday evening to attend the European premiere of the highly anticipated sequel.
The leading actors of the film, including Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Simone Ashley, who appeared on stage at the golden hour, showed a very stylish look.
Their incredible looks come as no surprise, as the film is a love letter to high-end fashion, specifically a nod to the industry’s bible, Vogue, and its editor.
Anne’s chic look was a departure from the frilly dresses she’s been promoting the film so far; Instead, she opted for a figure-hugging navy blue velvet dress.
Showing off her youthful appearance, Anne’s brunette curls were tied into a tight ponytail and she opted for dazzling face make-up.
Emily, 43, wore a strapless red corset with a long train and heeled math trousers, as well as jewelery from Mikimoto.

While 65-year-old Stanley wore a stylish suit by Paul Smith, 76-year-old Meryl preferred a stylish red jacket and white shirt.
Stanley was accompanied by his gorgeous wife, Felicity Blunt, who is the sister of his co-star Emily.
Simone Ashley wore a stunning pink look and matching velvet heels to enhance her height.
In the film, Anne reunites with Meryl, Emily and Stanley as the group returns to the cutthroat world of high fashion, this time with a modern twist.
The first plot finds Miranda Priestly grappling with the decline of traditional print media and coming into conflict with Emily (Blunt), a powerful executive who now controls significant advertising budgets.
The sequel will also introduce a number of new faces, including Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, and Lucy Liu.
Filming took place in New York and Milan, and the behind-the-scenes footage has already driven fans crazy.
The original Devil Wears Prada wasn’t just a blockbuster; cemented itself as a cultural touchstone, transforming Streep’s Miranda Priestly into an instantly iconic character and inspiring a generation of fashionistas to whisper, “That’s all there is to it.”
Initial reactions to The Devil Wears Prada 2 came ahead of its May release, with critics warning fans that ‘the way you gird your loins… is extraordinary.’
The film had its US premiere on Monday, and critics who attended the early screenings were busy posting their first thoughts.
While the review embargo won’t be lifted until April 29, some social media reactions are going viral and the reactions are all overwhelmingly positive.
Alex Weprin of The Hollywood Reporter shared in X that the film is “a bitter media parody wrapped in high fashion.” ‘Any journalist who sees this will be ashamed of being recognized.’
Variety writer Jazz Tangcay agreed, quipping: ‘Gird your loins, the devil is back in all his glory! Yes, #thedevilwearsprada2 is phenomenal. An excellent sequel that exceeds all expectations.

‘Aline Brosh McKenna’s script is sharp and witty. We will say this for years. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are still amazing. The stunning costumes and soundtrack are very impressive. BEAK!!!!!!! I loved it. It’s worth the wait. This is everything.’
Daniel Baptista of The Movie Podcast wrote: ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2 is a FUN and VIOLENT sequel that makes a statement. Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep return to their iconic roles with ease and DELIVER in every frame.’
‘It feels familiar in the best way, at the right time and worth the wait.’
There are a lot of new faces in the sequel. Lady Gaga has a cameo and also wrote and recorded The song Runway with rapper Doechii for the soundtrack of the film.
Donatella Versace, Ciara and Ashley Graham also have roles. Justin Theroux plays Benji, Emily’s boyfriend, while Kenneth Branagh plays Miranda’s new husband and Simone Ashley plays Miranda’s current first assistant.
However, the editing had some victims due to Sydney Sweeney’s cameo being cut.
The actress portrayed herself in a three-minute scene embodied by Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton.

Accordingly E.W.Sydney’s appearance was meant to be near the beginning of the film but was scrapped because it didn’t work structurally.
Fans first learned of her involvement with the film in August, when she was spotted arriving on the New York City set.
The plot of the film, which is a sequel to the original 2006 film, is as follows: ‘As Miranda Priestly approaches retirement, she reunites with Andy Sachs and comes face to face with her rival Emily Charlton, who has become his former assistant.’
Sydney, who became a political lightning rod when her family’s political views came to light, was removed from the film.
