Dharna For Express Trains’ Stoppage At Nidadavole

KAKINADA: Locals staged a dharna in front of Nidadavole railway station, demanding that Railways provide stoppage for express trains like Janmabhoomi, LTT and other trains as the station is an important junction called Amrit Bharat Railway Station.

Some of the trains are being diverted towards Tanuku from Nidadavolu junction and towards Vijayawada via Bhimavaram, Akiveedu and Gudivada. CPM leader J. Rambabu, who led the agitation, said people have been agitating for this case for the last three days and alleged that the railways were neglecting passengers in Nidadavole constituency without stopping important trains at Nidadavolu railway station. He said that public representatives should take the initiative to stop the trains.
