Senior Chemist Dies After As Leak At Pharmaceutical Plant

Visakhapatnam: A senior chemist at Deccan Remedies Private Limited died on Monday morning after a gas leakage of the Pharmaceutical Company’s reactor facility in Parwada Pharma City.

41 -year -old M. Poli Naidu, a senior chemist in the company, suddenly ran to Gajuwaka Hospital after suddenly remained unconscious during a lunch break in the afternoon of Sunday. Despite medical treatment, he succumbed to injuries at 6 in the morning.

DCP Parwada Vishnu Swaroop said that while talking to this reporter, the victim had completed his working shift on Sunday and that he had suddenly had lunch when he lost consciousness. He continued: “Immediately shifted to the hospital, but this morning he died while receiving treatment. We are waiting for the postmortem report for the exact cause of his death. From now on, we recorded a case in 174 CRPC section.”

Pharmacy Personnel and Workers’ Union (CITU) President Gani Satty Satyanarayana asked to take action immediately against the company management and demanded a 1 RS compensation and criminal charges against Naidu’s family.

After examining the reactor area where the incident occurred, he talked to the media at the industry gate and expressed his grief that he calls the management negligence following the security standards. “A life has disappeared because of the negligence of the management’s security standards.”
